I lift up my eyes to the hills—from where will my help come?
My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Comments on September's Scripture

- I love the verse for September since Ivy and I just got back from Colorado yesterday. Talk about "lifting my eyes to the hills". God's work is all around out there in a wonderful way. Nancy

Out of Darkness
This particular scripture has always meant a lot to me because of the light the Bible brings into my life. The "shining" quality of God's word brings me out of darkness, out of dark corners, and into a clear understanding of God's love for me.
When you walk in the dark, you have to be careful. There are so many things to bump into, step on, or break. But God's word makes it a much more life-giving journey by illuminating things to watch out for, and things to embrace.
